Lamborghini Aventador rental in Malaysia at Grandpride starts from RM 8,800 a day, with 120 km and Basic Cover included. It's the V12 car with the scissor doors, the one most people picture when they hear the word Lamborghini. It's also the Lamborghini we'd steer you away from for a first supercar day. Six assumptions can spoil a day with it.
"It's a bigger Huracán"
It isn't, and the difference shows within the first kilometre. The Aventador has a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 and a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual gearbox. The Huracán has a 5.2-litre V10 and a seven-speed dual-clutch. A dual-clutch shifts smoothly in stop-start traffic; the Aventador's single-clutch is the part reviewers criticised most, for being unrefined. On an open road you'll love the V12. On Jalan Tun Razak at 6 pm you'll feel every shift.

Both are all-wheel drive in their main versions and both are two-seaters. Which version of each Grandpride has is CHECK: Aventador variant and year (LP 700-4, S, SVJ?) and Huracán variants and years.
"It'll fit anywhere a big car fits"
The Aventador is 2.03 metres wide without its mirrors and about 2.27 metres with them. That's wider than most SUVs, in a car that sits very low. Older multi-storey car parks in KL have tight ramps and narrow bays, and the front of the car is close to the ground over speed bumps and steep driveways CHECK: does the fleet Aventador have a front-axle lift system.
The scissor doors swing up, not out, which helps in a narrow bay but needs headroom. Check the ceiling before you open them in a low basement. Pick your destinations with that in mind: a hotel with a driveway and valet, or a venue where you can park on the flat, is easier than a mall basement on a Saturday.
"The flagship is the best first supercar"
For a first day in a supercar, take something that forgives you. The Huracán's dual-clutch gearbox and conventional doors make it easier to live with, and the Audi R8, at RM 2,800 a day, costs less again. "Two of us can take turns"
Only the named renter may drive a Grandpride self-drive car. If two of you want time behind the wheel, book two separate days in your own names, or choose who drives before you book. Whether there's a minimum age or a minimum number of years with a full licence for this car is CHECK: age and licence-years requirement for the Aventador and other supercars.
"The day rate is the price"
The day rate is the start. Every day includes 120 km and Basic Cover, under which you pay for damage up to the standard excess. On a car like this, look hard at the two upgrades: a Loss Damage Waiver lowers the excess, and Grandpride Protection+ takes it to zero for damage and theft, with glass and tyres included. Prices vary by car and show as you book. The deposit for the Aventador is CHECK: deposit amount for the Aventador and how it's refunded.
Extra kilometres come at the car's per-km rate unless you add +50 km, +100 km or unlimited mileage. A run to Genting and back is around 120 to 140 km, so a day trip there already needs +50 km.
The car goes back with the same fuel level as at collection. You pay a RM 50 booking fee online, which comes off the total, and the rest in store or in person.
"I'll use it for the shoot, then drive it all day"
If the day is partly about pictures, check the terms first. Whether you can use the car for a commercial shoot or filming, and on what terms, is CHECK: photoshoot and filming permission and any extra charge.
