A kereta akad nikah has one job: getting the groom, his family and everything they're carrying to the mosque or the bride's home on time and unflustered. Adat differs between states, communities and families, so treat what follows as the general shape of the morning and fit the cars to your own.
What the morning involves
The akad nikah is usually held early in the day, at the bride's family home or at a mosque, and often only close family and friends attend. A kadi or imam officiates. The bride's wali gives her in marriage, two male Muslim witnesses are present, and the groom gives the mas kahwin. The reception, the majlis bersanding, often follows later the same day.
For transport, that means a small group, a fixed start time you can't be late for, and possibly a second event a few hours later.
The groom's car
The groom shouldn't be the one parking. He's dressed for the ceremony, he's nervous, and the kadi and the venue set the start time, whatever the traffic is doing.

The family cars
Parents, grandparents, the witnesses and whoever is carrying the trays usually want to arrive together, and before the groom. A seven-seat MPV does that in one trip.

If a relative drives a self-drive MPV, remember that only the named renter may drive it, so book in the name of the person who'll actually be at the wheel, and bring it back with the same fuel level it left with. Delivery is free within 10 km of the Petaling Jaya showroom and RM 100 elsewhere in the Klang Valley.
Fitting the cars to the mosque
Each mosque sets its own rules, so ask the mosque office before you finalise timings. As one example, Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan's January 2025 conditions for its hall allow weddings on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 8 am and 4 pm, ask for bookings at least three months ahead, require guests to dress modestly and cover their aurat, and don't allow a pelamin or bersanding in the hall. Music has to stop at prayer times.
Three questions to ask the mosque about the cars:
- Where can cars stop to drop the groom and the family at the door?
- Where can the cars wait during the ceremony?
- Is there another booking before or after yours that will fill the car park?
If you've booked the cars by the hour, the chauffeurs wait through the ceremony and the photographs, and you won't have to call anyone back.
Decorating the car

Berapa harga sewa kereta untuk akad nikah?
Untuk pengantin lelaki, S-Class panjang dengan pemandu berharga RM 300 sejam, minimum tiga jam. Untuk keluarga, Vellfire pandu sendiri bermula RM 900 sehari. Yuran tempahan RM 50 dibayar dalam talian dan ditolak daripada jumlah; bakinya dibayar di kedai atau secara bersemuka.
Can the same car do the nikah and the reception?
Yes, if you book it by the hour across both. You can book from 3 to 23 hours, and anything over 12 hours is 10% off. Hours that start after 7 pm cost more (+30% until 11 pm, +50% after that), so an evening reception adds to the price; the quote shows it before you reserve.
How far ahead should we book?
Online chauffeur bookings need at least two days' notice, but don't leave a wedding that late. Book the cars once the mosque or the venue and the time are confirmed, on the chauffeur booking page or by WhatsApp on +6010 322 3223, and add the passenger's name and number if the car is for the groom and you're booking on his behalf.
