Say the car is for a wedding morning. It collects the bride from her parents' house, waits through the tea ceremony, then carries four people and a large dress to a hotel ballroom. Before you look at colours or ribbons, settle who is driving, because Grandpride's Rolls-Royce Cullinan rental in Malaysia is self-drive: the Cullinan is RM 9,900 a day, and only the named renter may drive it.
The car, briefly
The Cullinan is Rolls-Royce's first SUV, unveiled in 2018, and the brand's first car with all-wheel drive. It has a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12, rear doors hinged at the back (Rolls-Royce calls them coach doors), and it is 5,341 mm long and 1,835 mm tall. Rolls-Royce built it with either a five-seat rear bench or two individual rear seats. CHECK: is the Grandpride Cullinan the four-seat or five-seat version, and which year?

If you're deciding between driving and being driven
If someone in your group wants to drive, and is used to big cars
Rent the Cullinan. Book it in that person's name, because the booking name is the driving name; a friend can collect the keys, but only the renter drives. They should be comfortable with a car over five metres long in hotel driveways and car parks, and calm enough to drive it with the couple in the back.
If nobody should be driving on the day
Then a self-drive Rolls-Royce is the wrong booking, however good it looks. The Rolls-Royce cars are listed for self-drive only CHECK: is any Rolls-Royce available with a Grandpride chauffeur?, so look at the cars that come with one:

The Bentayga is the closest match to the Cullinan's size and presence. The S-Class is the wedding car Grandpride offers in white, silver or black, with room in the back for a full dress. Hourly bookings run from 3 to 23 hours, and the online booking needs at least two days' notice.
Grandpride's driver and bodyguard service is a different thing again: it puts a driver in a car you already own, not in a rented one.
If it's two of you and mostly city driving

If the plan includes the highlands, luggage or older relatives
The Cullinan suits this better than the Ghost. It sits higher, so getting in and out is easier for parents and grandparents, and the rear doors open from the middle, which gives a wide gap to step through. For Genting, the round trip from central KL is roughly 120 to 140 km, so add 50 km a day when you book. The car stays in Peninsular Malaysia.
If the budget is the problem

Wedding-day details for a self-drive Cullinan
- Measure the driveway. At 5.34 metres, the Cullinan can be awkward at a terrace-house gate or a narrow porch. Check where it will stop at each address and where it waits during the ceremony.
- Have the car brought to the bride's house. If the house is no more than 10 km from the Section 13 showroom there's no charge; anywhere further in the Klang Valley it's RM 100. CHECK: earliest delivery time on a wedding morning

- Fuel goes back at the level you received it. A V12 SUV on a stop-start wedding day uses more than you'd guess, so plan a petrol stop before the return.
- Protection: Basic Cover is included; the Loss Damage Waiver lowers the excess and Grandpride Protection+ removes it for damage and theft, with glass and tyres covered. - Only a RM 50 booking fee is paid online, and it comes off the total. You reserve, then pay in store or in person.
One more thing for the evening. If the person named on the booking will be raising a glass at dinner, they are still the only one allowed to drive the car home. Malaysia's drink-driving law is strict, so either they stay off the toasts or a chauffeur car takes the couple from the reception.
