Rolls-Royce rental in Kuala Lumpur with Grandpride starts from RM 9,900 a day, and the cars are listed for self-drive. That's the first thing to know, especially for a wedding: as listed, someone in your party drives the car. There are three: the Ghost saloon, the Wraith coupé and the Cullinan SUV, each with 120 km a day and Basic Cover included.
| Car | Body | Seats | Day rate | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce Ghost | Saloon | 5 | RM 12,100 | Hosting, formal occasions |
| Rolls-Royce Wraith | Two-door coupé | 4 | RM 9,900 | A couple, a long drive |
| Rolls-Royce Cullinan | SUV | 4 or 5 | RM 9,900 | Families, luggage, the highlands |
CHECK: seat count of each Rolls-Royce as configured
Which one
Take the Ghost when the people in the back matter most. It's the classic Rolls-Royce shape, a long four-door saloon with rear-hinged back doors and a cabin built around the rear seats, so it's the one for collecting guests or for a formal occasion, as long as someone is happy to drive it.
Take the Wraith if driving it is the point. Two long doors, a fastback roof and a V12 that's near silent at cruising speed. It seats four, but it suits two people and a long road best: a birthday, an anniversary, a weekend away.
Take the Cullinan if there's luggage, family or a climb to Genting Highlands involved. It sits higher and carries more, and it's the most relaxed of the three on a long day. The higher seat also makes getting in and out easier than a low saloon, which older relatives will notice. If you're weighing it against a G63, a Range Rover or a Bentayga, our luxury SUV rental comparison puts all ten side by side.
For a wedding
A Rolls-Royce is an obvious bridal car, and the Grandpride rental page asks couples to get in touch about a car for the wedding day. Settle three things early.
Who drives. Only the named renter may drive, so the booking goes in that person's name. If nobody in the party should be driving on the day, see the chauffeur options below.
Ribbons and flowers CHECK: may customers decorate a rented Rolls-Royce, and are there rules about tape or attachments?.
Where it waits between the ceremony, the photos and the reception. These are long cars; check the parking at each venue.
Our wedding car rental guide compares the Rolls-Royces with the chauffeured S-Class, the Bentleys and the family MPVs.
For a pre-wedding shoot, a launch or a video, CHECK: is photo and video use allowed under a standard rental, and are commercial shoots priced differently?. Car rental for a photoshoot in Kuala Lumpur covers planning a shoot around a rented car.
Setting up the day
- Pick your dates on the vehicle list first. A car that's booked shows as not available, and each car's page greys out the taken days.
- Count the kilometres. 120 km a day is usually enough for a wedding day that moves between a home, a hall and a hotel in the Klang Valley. For a trip out of town, add 50 km or 100 km a day, or unlimited, while you book; unlimited costs less per kilometre than paying the car's per-km rate afterwards.
- Choose protection carefully. Basic Cover leaves you paying up to the standard excess CHECK: standard excess for each Rolls-Royce. A Loss Damage Waiver lowers it. Grandpride Protection+ takes it to zero for damage and theft, with glass and tyres included. Each is priced for the car; car rental insurance and excess explains the three.
- Add a Touch 'n Go card, loaded with anything from RM 50 to RM 500. You pay exactly what you load.
- Choose delivery or collection. Delivery to your home, hotel or venue is free within 10 km of the Petaling Jaya showroom and RM 100 elsewhere in the Klang Valley, and someone else can take the keys if their details are on the booking.
- Check the itemised price and reserve. Online you pay a RM 50 booking fee, which comes off your total; the rest is paid in store or in person.
- On the day, bring what the driver needs CHECK: licence, minimum age and ID required to drive a Rolls-Royce, and the deposit amount and refund time. The car goes back with the same fuel level and stays in Peninsular Malaysia.
If you'd rather be driven
The Rolls-Royces are listed for self-drive only CHECK: is a Rolls-Royce available with a chauffeur?. If being driven matters more than the badge, the Grandpride chauffeur service has cars that come with one:
- The long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the wedding car, in white, silver or black, from RM 300 an hour.
- The Bentley Bentayga Mansory, from RM 800 an hour.
- The BMW i7, from RM 600 an hour.
Chauffeur hire runs from 3 to 23 hours and needs at least two days' notice online; book it at Book a chauffeur.
