Alphard rental with driver in KL costs RM 200 an hour with Grandpride, for a minimum of three hours, or a flat RM 450 for a trip to or from KLIA and KLIA2 and RM 1,600 to Genting Highlands. The car is a 2020 Toyota Alphard 3.5 with seven seats, and a Grandpride chauffeur drives it.
How is the hourly price worked out?
You book between 3 and 23 hours. Each hour is charged at the rate for the time it starts:

Part-hours are charged as part-hours. Book more than 12 hours and the total drops by 10%.
So a five-hour afternoon of errands and a family lunch, starting at 1 pm, is five normal hours. A booking from 5 pm to 9 pm is two normal hours plus two evening hours. The quote online already includes all of this, and hourly chauffeur pricing in KL walks through longer examples.
What do the KLIA and Genting fares cover?
Each is one trip, under 80 km, at the same price day or night. For the airport, the chauffeur meets you at KLIA 1 or 2, watches your flight if you add the flight number, and holds a nameboard at arrivals if you ask. Our page on KLIA meet and greet explains where you'll find the driver.
Going straight from the airport up to the hills is a longer trip than either flat fare; KLIA to Genting covers how that's priced. Other one-way trips, to Melaka or Ipoh for example, are priced on distance: an hourly base plus a per-kilometre charge.
Will seven people and their luggage fit?
Not all at once. The Alphard has seven seats and room for three large suitcases. Four adults and two children with three big cases between them is a comfortable load. Seven adults straight off a long-haul flight, each with a suitcase, is two cars.

Could I rent an Alphard and drive it myself?
Yes. Self-drive Alphards start from RM 1,000 a day, with 120 km a day included; they're on the MPV list. It suits a multi-day trip with one confident driver, because only the named renter may drive a self-drive car. Nobody else in the family can take a turn at the wheel on the way to Ipoh.
If the MPV is your own and you want someone else driving it, a Grandpride driver costs RM 385 for an 8-hour day through the driver service.
How much notice do I need, and how do I pay?
Online bookings need at least two days' notice. Book on the chauffeur booking page: choose One Way or By the Hour, pick the Alphard and say who's riding. You can book for someone else and add their name and number, and the chauffeur contacts them directly. A Grandpride representative then gets in touch, and the chauffeur calls to confirm the schedule. Only a RM 50 booking fee is paid online and it comes off the total; the rest you pay in store or in person.
