Luxury chauffeur service in Kuala Lumpur: six cars side by side

Mercedes-Benz S400 Maybach Convert

Count your large suitcases first. Grandpride's luxury chauffeur service in Kuala Lumpur has six cars: three seven-seat MPVs that take three large cases, and three five-seat cars that take two. Prices run from the Toyota Vellfire at RM 150 an hour to the Bentley Bentayga Mansory at RM 800. After the luggage, it's about how long you need the car and what the trip is for.

Seat counts are the car's seats CHECK: does the seat count include the chauffeur, i.e. how many passengers each car takes. Some of the cars have onboard Wi-Fi for working between meetings CHECK: which of the six chauffeur cars have onboard Wi-Fi. Prices are in ringgit and confirmed when you book. Toyota Alphard dalam armada chauffeur kami ialah MPV 7 tempat duduk dengan ruang untuk tiga beg besar, sama seperti Vellfire dan Lexus LM300h.

Which car for which trip

A family landing at KLIA with a case each: the Vellfire. It's the cheapest of the six by the hour and to the airport, and if the job is moving people and bags in comfort, it's usually enough. Our KLIA transfer guide covers arrivals, flight tracking and the nameboard.

The same group, but you want a newer car, or visiting family will spend a few hours in the back: the Alphard 3.5. It's the Vellfire's sibling, two years younger, with the bigger 3.5-litre engine. Alphard vs Vellfire rental goes through the differences.

Seven people who should feel like they're in an executive car (senior management, the parents at a wedding, a delegation going between meetings): the Lexus LM300h. It costs well above the two Toyotas, and the rear is the reason. It has no Genting flat fare, so ask how a trip to the highlands would be priced CHECK: can the Lexus LM and Bentayga be booked to Genting Highlands, by the hour or one way priced on distance?.

One or two passengers, business travel or an evening out: the S-Class. It's a long-wheelbase car with Maybach styling, the one Grandpride describes as its most popular for chauffeur work, and the cheaper of the two limousines. The extra rear legroom also makes room for a wedding dress; couples can read about a wedding car with a driver in Kuala Lumpur.

Someone who wants to take calls or rest between meetings: the BMW i7. It's BMW's electric 7 Series, in white, and electric drive makes it very quiet inside. Being white, it's also the other wedding option to the S-Class.

When the car is part of the occasion (a launch, an event entrance, a celebration): the Bentley Bentayga Mansory, a Bentley SUV with Mansory bodywork and the highest hourly rate of the six. Five seats, two large cases, and a higher step-in than the limousines. Like the Lexus, no Genting flat fare.

More than two large cases or more than four passengers rules out the bottom half of that list and points you to an MPV.

How the price works, whichever car

  • By the hour: 3 to 23 hours, with 10% off the whole booking when it runs past 12 hours.
  • Evenings and nights: hours that start between 7 pm and 11 pm cost 30% more, and hours that start between 11 pm and 7 am cost 50% more.
  • KLIA and Genting: flat fares, one way, the same day or night, for trips under 80 km.
  • One way anywhere else: priced on distance, the hourly base plus a per-km charge.

For a single airport run, compare the flat fares. For a day of meetings or an event, compare the hourly rates, remembering that anything starting from 7 pm costs more. The booking page shows every free car for your trip, each priced in full, and you choose the exact one. You pay a RM 50 booking fee online, which comes off the total, and the rest in store or in person. Chauffeur prices per hour in Kuala Lumpur has worked examples, and the chauffeur service page lists the whole fleet.

Several of these models are also in the self-drive fleet if you'd rather drive one yourself, rented by the day and delivered in the Klang Valley or collected in store; see all rental vehicles. Otherwise, price your trip on the booking page and compare the six for your exact times.
