A roadshow car is a rented car that's part of the event: parked on the stage at a launch, at the centre of a mall activation, or moved from venue to venue as the face of a campaign. Grandpride rents its fleet by the day, a Porsche Taycan at RM 3,900 or a Rolls-Royce Cullinan at RM 9,900 for example, and companies and brands already use Grandpride for their events. A car on display isn't a car on the road, though. Agree the terms with Grandpride and with the venue before anything gets printed.
If the cars are for moving speakers, VIPs and management between hotel, venue and dinner, that's a chauffeur job instead; our guide to event and gala chauffeur service in Kuala Lumpur covers timing and multiple cars. Many events need both.
Pick the car for the story
| Event | Car | Why | Day rate |

| Youth brand, music or sports activation | Lamborghini Huracán or McLaren 720S | Draws a crowd and the phones come out | From RM 6,100 or RM 7,700 |
| Lifestyle or fashion | Aston Martin DB11 or Mitsuoka Rock Star | Design-led | RM 7,700 or RM 1,900 |

Each car's day rate is on its own page, and the itemised price shows before you reserve.
Checklist, part 1: with Grandpride
Display use isn't covered by Grandpride's published rental terms, so get every one of these answered in writing when you enquire CHECK: does Grandpride rent cars for static display at events and roadshows; can its staff position the car in a venue or move it between venues; are decals or wraps allowed; is there a display rate; and does protection apply while the public can touch the car?.
- Who moves the car. On a self-drive rental only the named renter may drive. Ask whether Grandpride's own team can deliver the car onto the stand and drive it out again.
- Branding. Logos, decals, a wrap or a number plate cover all touch the paintwork. Ask what's allowed, and who fits and removes it, before your designer starts.
- The rate for a car that doesn't move. The day rate applies to every day of the booking, including days the car stands still. For a multi-day show, ask for a better price before you reserve.
- Protection in a crowd. Basic Cover is included; a Loss Damage Waiver lowers the excess, and Grandpride Protection+ takes it to zero for damage and theft, glass and tyres included. Ask whether that cover still applies while the public can touch the car. Our guide to rental car insurance and excess explains each level.
- Cleaning during the show. Fingerprints and dust build up fast on a car people touch. Agree who wipes it down, and with what CHECK: can Grandpride or its sister business, Grandlab Detailing, keep a display car clean during an event?.
- Keys and access. Decide whether visitors may sit inside, and who holds the key.
Checklist, part 2: with the venue
Venues have their own rules for vehicles, especially indoors. Some exhibition halls, for example, require a low fuel level, a sealed or locking fuel cap and a disconnected battery, plus a request form in advance. Ask for the rules in writing, then check:
- Move-in and move-out times. Cars usually go in before the public arrives or after closing.
- The access route: ramps, loading bays, door widths, floor loading. A low supercar needs a gentle ramp, so send the access details when you enquire about one.
- Floor protection. Some venues want a mat under the car.
- Overnight security. Who watches the stand after closing.
- Fuel, agreed with both sides. A Grandpride car goes back with the fuel level it had at collection. If the venue wants the tank nearly empty, settle how that's handled before the car leaves the showroom CHECK: how should fuel be handled when a venue requires a low fuel level?.
Checklist, part 3: if the car tours
A roadshow that visits several malls or cities in a week moves its car every few days.
- Mileage. 120 km a day is included, which usually covers a Klang Valley roadshow. A tour to other states needs +50 km or +100 km a day, or unlimited mileage, chosen when you book.
- Delivery. Free within 10 km of the Petaling Jaya showroom, RM 100 elsewhere in the Klang Valley, and by quote outside it. Delivery covers any Klang Valley address, a mall included; getting onto the floor is down to the venue. Our guide to car rental delivery in the Klang Valley explains the handover.
- Who drives between stops. Only the named renter, so book in the name of the person who'll move it, or ask whether Grandpride can move it for you.
- Where it can go. Anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia, but not into Singapore or Thailand.
- Tolls. Take a Touch 'n Go card with the keys and choose what's on it, RM 50 to RM 500.
Untuk roadshow, kereta disewa mengikut hari, contohnya Porsche Taycan RM 3,900 sehari; untuk acara beberapa hari, tanya kami harga yang lebih baik.
The rest of the event
Guests still have to arrive. Grandpride's chauffeured GrandRide Limousine, in white or black, is meant for event entrances, and chauffeured cars such as the BMW i7 and Bentley Bentayga Mansory are booked by the hour through the chauffeur service. Grandpride's concierge also counts events, venues, restaurants and hotels among its marketing partners. For company travel beyond the one event, see corporate car rental in Kuala Lumpur; if the car will also appear in the campaign photos, read our notes on renting a car for a photoshoot.
Send your event details through the contact page, or ask for an events price from the rental page.
