If you search for Maybach rental in Malaysia and land on Grandpride, you should know one thing first: our "Maybach" cars are Mercedes-Benz S400s with Maybach styling. They are not factory Mercedes-Maybach S-Class cars. The listing names say "Convert", and the chauffeur S-Class is described as "S400 Maybach styling, 2018". Self-drive starts from RM 2,000 a day.
For most bookings that difference won't matter. For a few it will, and the sections below say which.
What a factory Maybach is, and what ours are
Mercedes sells the Maybach as the top S-Class: a stretched body, about 20 cm longer than the long-wheelbase S-Class, with the extra room going to the rear seats. A 2018 S-Class is the W222 generation, which Mercedes built from 2013 to 2020.
A Maybach-styled S400 takes an S-Class and gives it the Maybach look. What exactly was changed on each Grandpride car, and whether the body is the standard long-wheelbase S-Class, are details we haven't published yet CHECK: confirm these are long-wheelbase S400s with a Maybach-style conversion rather than Maybach-length bodies, and list what the conversion changed (grille, wheels, badges, two-tone paint, rear seats).
What you can count on: it's an S-Class limousine. Rear-seat comfort, a quiet cabin and the presence of a big Mercedes at a hotel entrance all come with the car. What you can't count on is the extra Maybach legroom, so don't book one expecting a stretched cabin.

The first two are listed with Maybach styling. The third is listed as an S65 conversion, so check its photos before you book it expecting the Maybach look. Self-drive or with a driver
An S-Class is a car people buy to be driven in. If the booking is for a wedding, a parent's birthday dinner or a client pickup, sit in the back and book it as a chauffeured S-Class: RM 300 an hour for 3 to 23 hours, or a flat RM 600 to or from KLIA and KLIA2. It seats five and takes two large suitcases. Book online at least two days ahead on the chauffeur booking page.
Self-drive suits you if you want to drive it yourself for a weekend, or you need the car for several days without paying a driver's hours. A few rules apply on every self-drive rental:
- Only the named renter drives. No additional drivers.
- 120 km a day is included; +50 km, +100 km or unlimited can be added.
- The car stays in Peninsular Malaysia.
- It goes back with the same fuel level it left with.

If you want something above an S400
Grandpride's fleet list has no factory Maybach. If an S400 doesn't feel special enough for the occasion, look at these two instead:
- The BMW i7, a 2023 electric limousine, also available with a chauffeur.

Is a Maybach-styled S-Class good enough for a wedding?
For photos and arrival, yes. Guests see a long Mercedes with Maybach details, and few will check the wheelbase. Whether Grandpride decorates it is CHECK: does Grandpride allow or provide wedding decoration on the S400s. Our wedding chauffeur guide covers timings.
How much is Maybach rental per day in KL?
With Grandpride, the Maybach-styled S400s are RM 2,000 and RM 3,300 a day self-drive. On top of the day rate you choose protection, extra mileage and a Touch 'n Go card, and you pay a RM 50 booking fee online that comes off the total. The rest is paid in store or in person.
Can I see the car before booking?
The showroom is at Section 13, Petaling Jaya, open Monday to Saturday 9 am to 9 pm and Sunday 10 am to 8 pm. Message us first so the car you want is there.
