Book a limousine in KL and you'll usually get a long-wheelbase luxury saloon with a chauffeur, not the stretch car from the films. At Grandpride that's a Mercedes-Benz S-Class from RM 300 an hour, or a BMW i7. If you'd rather drive one yourself, the limousine class starts from RM 1,700 a day.
Whoever you book with, ask for the make, model, year and colour. "Limousine" on its own tells you very little, and most of the confusion comes from three assumptions.
"A limousine is a stretch car"
Sometimes, but not usually. A stretch limousine is an extended car with a lounge in the back, and if that's what you have in mind, say so when you ask for a quote. Most operators in KL, hotels included, use the word for an executive limousine: a long-wheelbase saloon like an S-Class or a 7 Series, with extra rear legroom and a chauffeur. "Airport limousine means a luxury car"
At KLIA it can mean a prepaid taxi. The official airport taxi company is called Airport Limo: you buy a coupon at the counter for a fixed fare by destination, and the cars run from family saloons to luxury vehicles.
If you want a specific car waiting for you, book it. Grandpride's S-Class and i7 each have a flat fare to or from KLIA and KLIA2 for trips under 80 km, the same day or night, which covers most addresses in central Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya. How the price works
By the hour, 3 to 23 hours, or one way on distance.

Both seat five and take two large suitcases. Each hour is charged by the time it starts: normal from 7 am to 7 pm, 30% more from 7 pm to 11 pm, 50% more from 11 pm to 7 am. Over 12 hours, 10% comes off. So three hours in the S-Class from 2 pm is three times RM 300, and the same three hours from 8 pm, all in the evening band, is 3.9 times. Chauffeur prices per hour in Kuala Lumpur works through longer days.
You reserve with a RM 50 booking fee online, which comes off the total, and pay the rest in store or in person. Online bookings need at least two days' notice; for a wedding date or a big event, book as early as you can so the car and colour you want are still free.
Which one, for what
The S-Class is the classic. Every S-Class wedding car is the long-wheelbase model, in white, silver or black, with room for the biggest wedding dress, and the same rear legroom gives a business traveller somewhere to work or sleep after a long flight.
