If you're flying in on AirAsia or another low-cost airline, you'll probably land at Terminal 2, and a KLIA2 transfer to Kuala Lumpur with Grandpride costs exactly what it does from Terminal 1: a flat RM 300 in a Toyota Vellfire for a trip under 80 km, day or night. The chauffeur meets you at Terminal 2 arrivals, tracks your flight and drives you to the hotel, home or office. The fare is the same at both terminals; what differs is the terminal itself.
Two terminals, one airport
KLIA has two passenger terminals in Sepang, Selangor, south of Kuala Lumpur. Since a rebranding announced in 2023 they're officially KLIA Terminal 1 and KLIA Terminal 2, though most people still say KLIA and klia2.

Go by the terminal printed on your ticket, not the airline's name.
They're connected, but not on foot. The buildings are about 2 km apart with no airside link, so moving between them means clearing immigration and going landside. The KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains run between the two in about three minutes. A free shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day, roughly every 10 to 15 minutes, takes about ten minutes, and at Terminal 2 leaves from the Transportation Hub on Level 1. That matters if you land at one terminal and the chauffeur is booked for the other, so add your flight number when you book.

Landing to door
Before the day, a Grandpride representative calls to confirm the trip. You land and clear immigration. Grandpride has been tracking the flight since you added the number, so a delay doesn't leave you without a car. The chauffeur meets you at Terminal 2 arrivals, with a nameboard if you asked for one (it shows whatever name you typed, or yours if you left it blank). Your bags go in the car and stay there to your door. Central KL and Petaling Jaya are about 50 to 60 km by road, inside the 80 km flat fare; how long it takes depends on the time of day and traffic into the city. Is a private car worth it over the train?
Sometimes not. KLIA Ekspres runs non-stop to KL Sentral, about half an hour from Terminal 1 plus about three minutes more from Terminal 2, and if you're travelling light to a hotel near KL Sentral it's hard to beat. Buses, taxis and e-hailing are all at Terminal 2 as well, with the queues and the luggage left to you.
A private transfer earns its place when there are several of you, a lot of bags, a late landing, or an address nowhere near KL Sentral. For a family, one flat fare for the whole car can come out close to several train tickets plus a taxi at the other end. If you're landing late, read late night KLIA arrival as well.
Booking
Open Book a chauffeur and choose One Way. Put KLIA Terminal 2 and your address as pickup and drop-off, then the date and time; online bookings need at least two days' notice. Every free car shows with its full price. Add the passenger details, the flight number and the name for the board. Booking for someone else is fine. You pay a RM 50 booking fee online, taken off the total, and the rest in store or in person.

Can the chauffeur meet me at KLIA2 at night?
Yes. Grandpride meets passengers at both terminals, and the flat fare is the same at any hour.
Is the drop-off for departures the same price?
Yes, the same flat fare. Tell us your airline flies from Terminal 2 when you book; if you end up at the wrong terminal, the train across takes about three minutes. Leave room for traffic, because the roads out of the city are slow at rush hour and in heavy rain. The best times to drive in KL shows when to allow extra.
